About Nicola

Nicola’s robust clinical experience as a senior practitioner in a variety of settings, means she is competent to manage complex mental health needs. She has been qualified for over 10 years and worked in a variety of areas including forensic mental health, acute inpatient (including eating disorder inpatient), community and outpatients. Nicola is a specialist in building therapeutic relationships which provides psychological safety and fostering of an emotional environment that facilitates healing.

Nicola delivers individually tailored therapy according to the client’s needs.  Nicola works holistically considering the whole person and believes taking the time to get to know the client and genuinely understanding what is going on for them is the essential first step. Collaboratively with the client Nicola adapts therapeutic approaches and interventions to suit the person’s individual needs, in a non-judgmental and trauma-informed way. She has experience in delivering group therapy, psychoeducation, and family interventions.
